Great South Run in the sun!☀️

What a beautiful day in Portsmouth today for the Great South Run! We arrived early so were able to park on the common, a few minutes from all the action. I did this event a couple of years ago with my sister and had hoped to do this one with my husband but sadly he has been out with a calf injury. Anyway, a fab course which I really enjoyed running, although I did have to drop my pace a bit in the sunshine - it felt pretty hot at times and I am very much a cold weather runner! Despite this, the last couple of miles seemed easier this time, running into a gentle breeze along the promenade. Finished with a chip time of 1:44:20 (slower than my first GSR but pretty much what I hoped for today) and now happily admiring my medal🏅 and technical tshirt! Hope everyone else's runs went well, too. 🙂🏃🏽‍♀️

Hi Sarah!🙂 Good to 'see' you back on here! Hope you are ok? Yes, I am still around, although have not run for a few weeks following a flu lurgy and chest infection😫. I am now almost over it and am really looking forward to being back out there again! Good luck with C25k (Take 2!). I am sure you will build that fitness up quickly. Enjoy!🙂
