Got my 100mile December medal through the most today! !! 😊

Oh wow! That’s lovely! And congratulations on your 100 miles. I did the ‘race at your own pace’ version and the medal is nowhere near as pretty, not that I’ve received it yet. I think I might have a battle on my hands to get it, to be honest. Which website did you use? Would you recommend them?

i sent the claim Sun eve, and it arrived on the Fri after, free UK postage and also an email yesterday to say it was posted. Seem a really efficient company.

Brilliant - thanks for the recommendation. I think I’ll do it again once the nights get lighter as I really enjoyed the extra motivation. I’ll definitely try this company next time!

feeling smug but a bit lurgyish today! have missed it so far! however did do my fastest mile and km ever last night at run club using the cat and mouse technique(cat leaves 5 mins after mouse, i was mouse!) so could just be i'm knackered ! taking down xmas decs and drinking lots of tea! x

I'm not quite sure - it started during the Copenhagen Half I ran in September. My groin/hip/buttock on the one side hurts badly every time I run I'm seeing a physio on Monday. Last time I ran was November 24th and I am becoming quite desperate.

Sounds similar to what hit me In In my case turns out I have a bad combination of a hip prone to dislocating and Sciatica. I broke two vertabrae years ago and they reckon that along with how careless I've been anyway over the years body healthwise is the problem. I hope you are feeling better and I too miss seeing you when I returned to the Forum.

I was cleared to try a gentle ten yard jog a couple of weeks ago but it is lethally cold and even worse lots of ice outside so still haven't gone out. Wishing you a full and Speedy Recovery and a Happy New Running Year my friend

thanks Decker! i do like a medal!!! taking part in a blingless one tomorrow though, we are guests of another run club and just doing it for fun! 6mile Cross Country and hills! yes i feel a lot better today, think i was bit wiped out from hard push at run club thurs eve mainly

Mine is being suspiciously quiet, which usually means she’s up to no good! The HM is called the Brass Monkey and it’s run by a local club in York. ‘Flat and fast’, apparently, not that I’ll be doing it quickly!

thankyou mrrun , it helped a lot to have 2 x 10 mile races within the month, made it seem more achievable i'm only going to do it one month a year, have done an Oct one and Dec one so far(not in same year!!)
