HM - FIRST in my age group.!!

2 hours 23 minutes - I came 298 out of 365 runners!! First in my age group 70-79 !! OOH! I forgot to say that I was the only one in my age group There was a local man in the 60-69 age group who has only been running for 3 years - he finished the HM

one hour quicker than me - 1hour 24 mins!!! I am going to take up knitting when he turns 70!!!

Well done Bazza - that sounds like a great time to me. Are you sure that man didn't jump in half way round. I always feel very excited when Parkrun say I was 3rd or 4th in my age group and then always find there were only 3 or 4. As long as I am over 50% for my age grading I am happy.

I never get closer than about 14th out of 16....😂, and as for the older ones, well, I'm just going to have to tie their laces together 😉, same as you I'm overjoyed to get 50% ......or even a little bit more....😆

Congratulations! There's something extra satisfying about winning in your age group - even when you're the only one. I did it once, running a 10K in a little place in western Norway. It gives you quite a boost!

Actually, winning in my age group as the only runner is nowhere near as satisfying as watching the rest of the field who are all younger than me crossing the finish line !!
