Went for a little outing to town and found these signs all near the route (this one is near to Curlygurly2 π). Oh my, 3 weeks to go.........got my longest run to date planned for this week - 20k....., then a cut back and one more 20k before the taper...
The number should arrive the end of the week, that'll send me into a right old tizzy.......I'm still in, fingers in ears and la, la, la mode at the moment.
I cannot imagine being in such a big crowd of people, small by some HM standards - 9000, but it will be the biggest I've ever experienced!
Eeek, and double eeek! π¬

I went in on Friday, the publicity was crap... it was all supposed to e up and running but I didn't see a quarter of it...some of it was in the Corn Exchange and you needed tickets... boo! I'm hoping to pop in again perhaps Tuesday or Wednesday for another look.
BTW how did parkrun go yesterday? I saw their plea for volunteers, I would have, but I didn't think I could drive...
Yes, we did set up, quiet by Cambridge standards - 367, nice and muddy though π You know how I like a bit of a splosh about π, very cold though....βοΈ
Oh Madge , I can feel the excitement and tension in your post ! I was just the same before mine last year so I can understand how youre feeling .
You will be absolutely fine, once you get on that start line, you will be just so excited , promise .
You've done all your training , it will be just amazing and the feeling getting over the finishing line is one of the best feelings in the world . You will have a ball ! xxx
I burst into tears when I got over the finishing line Madge. Just the relief of completing it and all the emotions came to the fore and just overwhelmed me .
You are so ready for this Madge! You have trained hard and consistently, you have it nailed. Im π looking forward to your race report. Go Madge go! ππΌπππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ
Eeeek indeed!! Massively excited for you Madge (and soooo relieved Curlygurly2 and I decided not to enter this one!!) Good luck with the 20k (that's a heck of a long way). Will be borrowing mfamilias 's pom-poms for this one to cheer you on in style xx
Thanks AM, I still can't quite believe it's going to happen....or that I'm thinking, oh yes, next run is 20k, like it's 'normal' π, what happened there π€.......?!
Will love to see the Pom-poms though, that'll give me just what I need π
In the meantime.....sticks fingers in ears and says 'la, la, la, la.......'
π no worries, I'll be happy to nail the 20 in training. I've been advised to leave a little bit for the day, as I'm told running into the finish will (should) be quite special....... that's if I'm not a sobbing wreck by then....ππ¬
