CSR and strabismus surgery. Plus benefits of CBD for CSR

Hi guys I was recommended for strabismus surgery.. they said it was I was a great candidate but it’s for both eyes. I’ve never really had it as bad as others may have.. it’s slight but as I’ve gotten older it’s starting to get worse. I’m also a lucky enough to have CSR and I’m curious if anybody has had that surgery I was told it’s not going to affect My eye because it’s dealing with the outside of it. But I’m always nervous that it might shake things up. Has anybody else had the surgery with CSR?

I have recently been reading in forums of people who have used CBD for CSR with some good results. I Had tried horse chestnut for a few weeks a little over a month and a half it needs to be taken for a longer but I just couldn’t find any literature on it Other than a few people who say that it helped. I have found some literature on CBD for lowering stress levels and it being an anti-VEGF in doses as low as 30 mg when you go over 30 mg it actually can raise ocular pressure so people who suffer from glaucoma may want to be cautious. And as always before you do anything please talk to your doctor first.

But this got me thinking I’m wonder if on a daily basis you eat a dose of anti-VEGF foods like the big seven kale yada yada yada but you do it every day. I did reach out to someone who had a serious case of vitreous detachment it was really quite out of control where he needed a Surgery to help clear them. He swears that CBD has cured his problem and he’s been taking it for the past 15 years. His floaters didn’t get worse they subsided they never went away but they never got any worse and he swears it halted something. I have read on three or four forums of people who swear CBD has helped them with their CSR as far as length of duration and keeping it at bay. I do recall when I first had my CSR attack it was right around the first year we had Covid I ended up staying home that summer and just bought a pool and my family and I all just stayed secluded on our own little island. My leak went away quite quickly and for the whole summer I had no issues about two months into the school year as I am a teacher I had another episode ..

during the summer I remember with my coffee I would take 20 mg a day of CBD and I would put it under my tongue I was taking it to help with oxidative stress after a long workout. I don’t even know if that’s what may have caused my CSR to slow down maybe it was because I was in such a good mood, it was summer and I was having a great time with the pool and the family!! so I was not very stressed… but I’m going to give it a whirl again it seems pretty harmless! I have a pretty damn good tolerance to CBD and overall it’s a great option for lowering stress levels if you’re sensitive to marijuana you can get what’s considered a slight high feeling I have never felt it it’s 0.003% or 0.03% but I have never felt anything from it something to consider. And it’s a very light feeling that you get .. it doesn’t take stress away like maybe a narcotic would as far as a prescription drug,( Which if you’re like me and you don’t like feeling loopy or not yourself) it’s just subtle that’s the great thing about it.

Anyways I’m going to start it and go straight until September we’ll see what happens.
