Hi..My name is Tanusree.I am 29 years old.Last few days upon waking up from sleep I see a small dark spot in my vision which gradually goes away after few seconds. This has started very recently and all of a sudden.

I am highly myopic with -8 in both eyes.Suffer from dry eyes and also see distortion for past two years. As per doctors they did not find any abnormalities yet in the retina.I have consulted multiple doctors.Last visit was on Aug 31st'21.

Please suggest what this spot is coming now All of a sudden and does anyone else also experience this.

Good morning Tasaha, If you have any changes in vision we would always recommend that you have your vision checked by an optician or ophthalmologist.

Best wishes,

Kelly

Could be floaters, which are basically bits of organic rubbish. Had them for years. Sometimes they go away. However, always best to get things checked. All the best.

Hi.. Yes this happened to me also.. Woke up one morning to two quite big black dots upon the white wall when blinking..

they fade quite quickly to white then disappear. I can also see them in the night but as its dark they seem to be made up of pattern and squiggly lines.. My eye heath is good also after 2 examinations.. I do have rosacea.. Lid problems and dry eye.. Wondering if when lay down my lid does not shut and leaves a light imprint.. Due back to optician on Friday so will update.

Did you get an OCT? It might be something that escapes normal exams.

Hi.. Yes.. I am due to see a specialist at local hospital this week. Been referred by optician. I have blurred vision in one eye also. Black dots still a problem upon waking /blinking. Also still seeing odd weird patterns in night. They think it could be stress related.

My Ophthalmologist said he thinks that is caused by dry macular degeneration as he has no further explanation for it! Mine started right after having that cataract done. He did so much damage to my eye with the surgery, I was afraid that was what caused it. But he says no.
