Raising Public Awareness of WMD, and an explanation of what it is

Hi Guys,

I had a wet macular bleed November 2018, and have been in treatment since. I very nearly didn't act on my vision changes, because I simply didn't understand their significance. Luckily my husband persuaded me to do so. The short film linked below was made with my wonderful and inspiring ophthalmologist. He discusses WMD, scans, and touches on new treatments. Please feel free to share it and raise peoples awareness of why they need to respond to sudden changes in their vision swiftly in order to get effective treatment.

Many thanks to all at the Macular Society for tweeting and supporting this piece.

thank-you for the information-however,nothing is ever said about the people the treatments don't work for.I have searched the web and very little is said-they only quote statistics. It would be helpful to get the full picture!! The so called wonder drugs don't work for everyone!

That's a good point 3furryfiends. I will find out if Prof Aslam has anything on that topic he'd like to film. Thanks for your feedback, Sian
