Solar retinopathy

Hello all.

I know I have solar retinopathy because I was stupid when I was young. However I now have a whirling white blob in my scotoma in the central vision in my left eye. I have searched the web but nothing seems to explain it. What to do?

Thankyou, the description of the light is uncanny. I really couldn't have put it better! I guess I should go to the opticians.

Dear Philberry,

It would be wise to go to the opticians as soon as possible. They will be able to refer you to the eye clinic if they have any concerns.

Alternately, you could attend the emergency eye clinic at the hospital.

Kind regards,
