Looking for supplements.
Hi Wilkie 782.
I take visionace supplement, whether they actually help or not I don't know but hopefully they do, plus a health diet.
Hi, and welcome to the forum! I take Vision Defender AMD. I gather there are other Vision Defender supplements, so maybe one of them will suit you. Please let us know how you get on!
Hello Wilkie 782,
Sorry to learn about your wet macular degeneration.
Supplements are really only effective for those people with dry macular degeneration.
Please see our booklet on the subject at the following link;
macularsociety.org/sites/de...
There are two types of Macushield; basic 'Macushield' and 'Macushield Gold' which is superior as its contents are those recommended by the 'AREDS2' trial (see booklet for more details).
If you have dry macular degeneration in your other eye, then it may well be worth taking a supplement. There are cheaper alternatives available from pharmacists and supermarkets, but they do not all contain the recommended AREDS2 contents.
