Steroid eye implant

I have been insulin dependent diabetic for nearly 35 years. Had loads of laser and eye injections. Had my first steroid

Implant three weeks ago. Go for check up in 3 weeks. Don't be afraid. Not as stressful as you think. Remember if it wasn't for pioneering treatments we would have lost our sight decades ago. So be brave and take whatever treatment you are offered. It is all a bonus so embrace it.

123charl you are so right. 🙂

I agree. If you don't try it you'll never know if it would have worked.

Good luck.

I will be interested to learn how you fare with the steroid. Ozurdex presumably?

My condition is different but could respond to to it however, I have resisted it such until such time as Lucentis fails to work.

That was my feeling too Rennatk. Funnily enough though once given choice of going back to inj or having another implant I've gone for the implant. Time will tell.....
