Just to give hope to fellow sufferers.

I have just been to the hospital for my revue after my 6th injection and basically I ticked all the right boxes for my eyesights improvement. The treatment the hospital has given me has stopped the leaking and I don't need any injections for the foreseeable future. Of course the hospital will still monitor my situation with 6-10 weekly checkups but that is manageable. SoI just thought I would let you all know that the light at the end of the tunnel is still there. Happy new year to you all and I hope you all soon feel as elated as I do right now. Sylke xx

Excellent; I'm very pleased for you. Long may that feeling last! (Just keep checking the Amsler grid...)

That really is great news. I'm not having injections every month now but it would be good if I could also lengthen the time between check-ups. Keep up the good work.

Hello Sylke. I am so glad for you to get a rest from the injections. Hope it stays that way for a long time to come. x

Great news for you my friend, I'm going for my 6th injection next week, they tell me the fluid is clearing up well, that was after my third injection. However my central vision has not improved any after those injections. Just wondering if you have a sight problem with your eye. Take care friend.

I was also told after my 3rd injection the fluid was clearing up well but had to have 3 more to finish the job. I still have wavy lines on the Amsler grid but my eyesight is improved by 20 letters on the eye chart and I read down to the 2nd from bottom line with the affected eye, but I didn't have a sight problem before I started the treatment. I was sent to the hospital after Specsavers found a bleed at the back of my eye on a routine checkup, I had never heard of AMD then! Here's hoping you get sorted soon as well Harrymole. Good luck to you.
