Eleya .... Anyone else have a reaction?

Personally I don't think it is any better then Avastin. I was injected with it a few weeks ago and was told it would last longer. Well, it hasn't, and I can't afford another injection.

You didn't say exactly what happened but I hope everything is better

it set off an immunological reaction systemically. I had a sudden yeast infection that encompassed my entire chest, joint pain throughout my body so bad I went to the ER. The MRI didn't find anything unusual. He put me on a course of steroids to handle the inflammation. I checked the drug manufacturer site and found that this exact thing happens to 1-3%. Bitch of it is my sight improved but my body rejects it.

I too had a bad reaction after my last (third) eylea injection when every bone in the left side of my face became very very painful as soon as the aenestetic had worn off. I am not sure if it was the eylea or the iodine that had caused it. I was very close to phoning the clinic for advise but in the end I took 5 painkillers spread over that first day and went to bed. The next day the pain was gone and I felt OK. I just hope that this isn't a sign of things to come. It is worrying. I am due to see my consultant on 4th Jan and will mention it to him. How long did your condition last?

hi, the pain intensified during the course of injections...three months....it finally called for the emergency room

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you ask the physician to rinse your eye extremely well after the injection and rinse it many times yourself that day? I have found this a great help. Once when it wasn't rinsed well, my inner eyelid got stuck to the cornea. That was a trip to emergency
