I may have misled you, I have it in one eye too but the other eye is being checked at the same time. I only know from reading on the internet but there seems to be about a 30-50% chance of developing it in the other eye. I am shortsighted in both eyes but never had a strong prescription although now -5. Hopefully your eye doctor will monitor both eyes. I dread to think about having it in two eyes...then I suppose I would be partially sighted and would not be able to read etc. When I look back, the signs were there eg looking at print with my right eye, it was double or a bit blurred for a couple of years and my night vision was poor so I will be aware of that if it occurs in my left eye. You should phone the helpline - it really helps you to cope when you can talk to someone.
