My father has wet MD in both eyes . Will he be able to continue driving?

Hello Hyacinth,

I am sorry to hear about your father.

Whether he can continue driving depends on how good his sight is. He must however report his sight condition to the DVLA.

He must be able to read a car number plate from 20 metres; but there are other tests which may have to be carried out if the DVLA request them. These would normally be carried out at an opticians or a hospital eye unit.
