My children come and hold my hands, cuddle me to get warm. I always feel hot compared to people around me. My temperature reads normal, but too touch i am hot? I don't sweat excessively? The only way I know that I am out of sync is when I am outside, I am happy as I feel i am the right temperature. If my body does get cold boy does the pain kick in, i mean absolutely all of my bones ache. I had Rheumatic fever when I was 11, been diagnosed with lupus is this just another aspect of Lupus? Does anyone else have this where they run hot?

Hi DeniseP - it does seem to be one of the symptoms doesn't it? Although very uncomfortable (and sometimes embarrassing) it is one of the lesser aspects of Lupus. It is as if the body's thermostat just cannot cope with any slight change in temperature - either you are cooking on the inside, or shivering on the outside! Neither of the medics I see regularly appear to very interested in this phenomenon - probably as there is not a lot they can offer to ease it. My husband laughs when I'm constantly putting on, or taking off items of clothing....!!! I have a fan in every room - even in the Winter......
