Hello to all

I started Methotrexate on Monday, my first dose. On Wednesday afternoon my body temperature dropped to 35 and I feel cold sweats. Today I am still having low temperature. Went to the ER where they listened my lungs and tested my urin. All good.

anyone with similar symptoms? Thank you

Hi there,

I had an awful time when I first started methotrexate, felt like I had flu for 5 days after each injection! Google methotrexate flu and I’m sure you’ll find lots more people with similar symptoms.

The good news is that it does ease as your body gets used to it. I’ve been on it for 18 months now and occasionally have a rough day or two after the injection, but also have weeks where I feel absolutely fine!

Hang in there and hopefully you will see the benefits soon, but if you can’t tolerate it there will be other drugs you could try.
