Hi Madneuros1 welcome to the forum. I'm the same as you, have had vertigo for 11 weeks now. My MRI is in 2 weeks time it's very hard dealing with it all, I just try to cope. I have started using a stick when I walk which gives me some confidence. I've almost forgotten what normality is. I'm so hoping for some answers. Bug hugs to you

Hi, are you on any prescribed medication? I have been on Hydroxychloroquine for 7 years and I know that it causes imbalance and dizziness daily. Good that you are waiting for the brain scan result. Best wishes!

Hi .... hello and a warm welcome...I lost my hearing & had very severe vertigo around 10 years ago. The dizziness comes and goes ... the best thing for coping ever, was some specialist physiotherapy from a lovely lady (specialism in vestibular distirbance) ... it was very unlike any other physio & exercises were simple. It made a tremendous difference to me, if you can access something similar ... hope this helps, hang on in there 🙏❤

Hi Madneuros1 and welcome! I’m glad you took the time to post, there is a lot of friendly support here and chances are you will find people with similar experiences to yours.

I can certainly relate to chronic dizziness, I’ve had persistent dizziness for about 7 years now and a history of migranous vertigo. All neurological tests and MRIs are normal (thank God!) but this means there’s no treatment, so I pretty much have to live with it. A good neurologist will run a battery of tests and take your medications into account, and refer you for treatment if appropriate.

In the meantime, I have no definite tips as every experience of dizziness is different. I can only suggest to take it easy, try to avoid anything that seems to make it worse, and allow extra recovery time when the headaches and vertigo hit. Be kind to yourself. Good luck, and remember that in most cases, there are options available to you for treatment!
