Bicarb is increased when another process in your body is producing more than normal levels of acid. Such causes could be poor oxygenation, lactic acidosis (caused by low perfusion and some meds), ketoacidosis (unlikely), poor kidney acid excretion. There are so many things that could do this. I’d speak with your GP as they’d have a better understanding with your clinical history in mind. See what he/she says. Hope you find answers. ❤️xx
Thank you so much for responding and so clearly ! I will speak to GP as he hasn’t seen this test it’s just come through from last November 🤨. Usual story ... on the long winding road to diagnosis ...
It’s only 30 .. range is 22~29 but I will ask him about it else what is the point in running the tests .
