Seasons
Yes...each season tends to persecute different body systems extra specially. E.g. winter hits my vascular & neuro stuff hard & respiratory infections & dryness. Summer hits skin hard + dryness from a different angle. Etc etc 😉😆
The summer isn't too bad as long as it is dry. Cold and wet hit me hard. We have had cool and damp weather off and on for almost three weeks and have I have been miserable for most of it. Besides the constant pain there is the fatigue 😔
Autumn for me is the worst, everything flares. I wonder if it the increase in atmospheric mould due to the fallen leaves.
Very cold spells in the winter with frost, that will also bring on a sudden bad flare.
I absolutely dread winter; joints hurt so I have the heating on at max just to be able to move about, which then dries the air out and makes my lungs ache. I get lung infections every year. No energy, I literally spend the time from about late Sept to February sitting in my chair and living on milky tea (no energy to cook, and I hate boring winter veg). I can deal with summer; sunblock, stay out of sunlight when I can, and I love heat. Winter is just NOPE.
Great minds think alike... i have recently been wondering exactly the same thing!
Although I am photo sensitive I absolutely love the summer, so long as I'm careful I feel wonderful. Then September onwards I seem to flare. I caught a very mild cold and this triggered my immune system and I can't shake off my lupus symptoms from painful joints to terrible fatigue etc...
I couldn't understand it because it's been fairly mild until recently.
From all the replies we all seem to be worse autumn/winter.
I started feeling bad in September. . . At least 6 months of feeling sick drives me crazy. I guess we need to get all our living in during the summer months.
