Rheumatologist appointment in a week and a half

Hi everyone!

First time posting! Wondering if any of you have any insight. I've been on and off sick for over a year. Strep, constant sinusitis, got diagnosed with hypothyroidism and got extremely sick about a month ago. Woke up with aches and pains, extreme exhaust and on and off low grade fever. Docs ran all kinds of test. I came back with lower than normal WBC, high sed (esr) rate normal is 0-20 and mine came back at 65 and tested positive for ANA. So here I am waiting to get in to see the rheumatolgist. The pain is not as intense but I feel like crap. Tired, achy, shooting pains in my joints, headaches, just icky. No cough, no sneezing, nothing cold related at all. I just want to feel like myself. My primary doc said it is possible it could be lupus but of course I understand there are many more tests that need to be run to see if that is the case. Does any of this sound familiar? Thank you all of you for reading my post. I wish you nothing but the best of health! xo

Hello lucky

I agree with misty

Am glad you'll see rheumatology soon

Whether your consultant decides you have lupus or/& something else, this link takes you to a recent discussion here which includes several links to easy-to-use downloadable forms that i've found vvv helpful when organising my thoughts etc for rheumatology & immunology related hospital appointments generally:

Thank you so much! I promise I will let you all know. Hugs!

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly.

Your consultant should be able to run all the necessary tests and establish a diagnosis. You might find our leaflet about diagnosis and symptoms, which you can download or request from our website useful lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...

Let us know how you get on once you have had your appointment.
