Unexplained Bruisin

I'm a 28 year old female who has been experiencing unexplained bruising, mainly all over my legs. I do not know how I am getting these bruises but they are excessively getting worse. Anyone have any suggestions or concerns I don't know about? Thanks

Hi Skctel,

Have you discussed this bruising with your GP? It can sometimes be a symptom of some conditions and it can also be a side effect of certain medications. Do you have any other unexplained symptoms?

Hi there , I thinks you need to see your gp. ,it could be a whole manner of things. I looked like they when I had Itp. Make sure the doc . Checks you blood count . All the best Elfie

Hello there, I agree you need to see your consultant or GP. I have ITP and I looked like this all over my body ,especially the legs before I was diagnosed. A full blood count will depict if your platelets are low.

Good luck I hope you get a diagnosis very soon.

Hi skctel

I get similar bruises to you and are diagnosed with mild vasculitis. Treatment can be steroids and I've found the higher the dose I'm on the less bruises I get. The difficulty is steroids can also cause bruising so it all has to be watched!. You need to mention them to your GP and Consultant as like others have said there are many causes for bruises. Good luck. X
