Isn't it so frustrating that these things take so long. But on the positive side, having waited a year March will come around quickly. All the best and hope it goes well. One thing to remember is to probably write things down before your visit, for my first appt I took a list of my history including illnesses that had affected me in the previous five years and also the symptoms that were affecting me at that time. It all helps to aid the consultant to make a firm diagnosis and provide treatment.

Take care

hi slowmo

this is something ive being fighting fro since nov 2011 when I last saw him because I disagreed with what was in his letter to my GP, and the fact that he hadn't given me the chance to tell him my symptoms and GP admitted

they only look at blood results and dont consider symptoms which is appalling.that is all ive had -them saying bloods are normal (when not necessarily) and dismissing symptoms.i have complained to PALS re this as it is not acceptable and today emailed the secretary of health(?)Jeremy hunt.

Hi anbuma, why do you have to see the same rheumy again. ? Is there a lack of them where you live ? Sorry if I am not getting it. Take photos of any rashes or ulcers to show and of course a diary of your suffering. Hope they recognise your health probs before too long, and get you some proper treatment.

hi 6161 .when I saw him in nov 2011,he asked me how things had been btu before I had chance to speak ,he interrupted me saying "you need to lose weight -have gained 11 kgs in7 years .my response wa s it is all abdominal and something i can do nothing-(not fat/either a cyst or OC from symptoms.)- about as I ahvent eaten cakes biscuits snacks or puds fro 4 years and can only really eat breakfast and a small meal.htis fell on deaf ears as he still went on about losing weight.

th main issue was what was said in the letter to my GP-mentioning CA 125 test results which I felt was not his concern-more gynae.he failed to recongise my symptoms (of lupus)and said "its fibromyalgia".

I asked to see him to sort issues from the letter and for what he dismissed at my previous appointment.(I am sick of being dismissed by dr's when others with exactly the same symptoms as me get a diagnosis )
