My nails improved taking vit d, they went from brittle breaking with the smallest bump, to now growing long so I have to cut them. Hope this helps

I have developed this too. I think it's caused by low iron, because mine has got pretty low (feritin only 7). Xx

Vit D3 really helps me with my nails especially as last year I found myself with almost nil levels of Vit D. I now take a high dose daily.

I do have the same and all I know is my Rheumy noted it when he was examining me and said it was something you can get with Lupus. Also dry and hard skin on feet is common too.

I have this too. I try to mositure my feet but it doesn't matter what i do they are always try and hard. I start to,think I'm lazy and need to spend more time doing theses things.

I have developed this too-my nails have always been really good. The have always grown very quickly, strong and great. They used to be my pride and joy-they are now brittle, flaky and all have these vertical ridges :-( I can believe it to be the Lupus as DonnyJM says.I have taken calcium and vit D for years, they still grow fast, but I have started to use masses of cuticle cream/oils to try and moisturise them as they grow out-to at least try to counteract the drying and ridges-still waiting to see any results. I'm just keeping them short in the meantime :-)
