Ear problems

I am not certain this has anything to do with Lupus or not, but I have been having a problem with my inner ear. Just inside the ear, I get sores that won't heal. I keep going to my GP and he gives me cream. It goes away, but comes back again. In the mornings (this is gross), the opening to my ear canal is crusty. I clean it out, but when I get home from work, it is back. It doesn't hurt, and it isn't an infection. I am so weary of asking my rheumatologist because he waves me off saying that is not his specialty, or everyone has that.

Just thought I would reach out and maybe someone could relate and I would know what my next steps should be.

Hi! I'm sorry you are in such discomfort. IMHO, I would ask to see either an ENT (Ears, Nose Throat) specialist or a consultant dermatologist.
