I finally got to see the rheumatologist yesterday, after 8 months of waiting. I had seen the dermatologist but, they weren’t sure what was going on.
Anyway the rheumatologist is certain I have SLE (I asked specifically which type of Lupus he thought I had ).
I think mine is early enough to hopefully not have organ involvement, when I see him in October, he says we’ll work out a treatment plan, obviously I am still processing it all.
Just wanted to know if anyone with SLE has been fine with treatment and had no organ involvement ?

Welcome to LUpus Patients Understanding & Support (LUPUS) at HealthUnlocked.
I am pleased you have seen a rheumatologist and have a treatment plan.
Not all patients have organ involvement. SLE affects people in different ways. It’s important for you to keep a diary of symptoms and note your flames, which I hope will be few.
It can be a scary and anxious time but in the last 50 years there has been significant developments in the treatment of lupus. Many patients even come off all treatment.
I hope this happens for you. In the meantime, please feel you can contact me any time. But, please remember only your doctor can give you medical advice. Don’t trust the internet!
