Hello you guys. My name is Aaron. I am a retired criminologist from Fort Worth, Texas. I personally don’t have Lupus but my estranged wife does. I have MS. We have been married for 30 years and I want to learn more about what she is going through. Do you mind that I am here? If so, I will go but I do know this site (and others) helped her to understand what life is like for me.

Welcome Aaron! Not at all! I think you will learn a lot about what life is like for her.

BEING a lupie is difficult and LIVING with a lupie is difficult. Lupus has no rhyme nor reason which makes it so hard understand.

To the world, we can look “healthy” but what’s really happening on the inside is anything but. It takes a toll on us and on those we love. I hate that I sometimes have to cancel plans or just cannot do something I would normally do. My health turns on a dime - I can feel “fine” one second (and note that my version of “fine” just means I’m able to tolerate whatever pain/fatigue is happening at that moment) and be completely unwell the next. At times I’ve pushed through and then have paid the price. I know that roller coaster ride is difficult for those around me, but they whom have witnessed when things go bad (very very bad) are now my champions.

Learn all you can, ask lots of questions.

So sorry you have MS - that cannot be easy for you. I hope you have joined the MSAA community?

Yes, I am on the MS community. I can certainly understand how Lupus can do that to you. Sounds very similar to MS. Thank for letting me stay. I will most likely just lurk and read past posts.

Hi Aaron. I have been thinking about your request, so I am please milkwoman has replied because I didn't know what to do.

May I suggest that if everyone here is OK wih you here, then it's OK, but if Members contact me privately, I might have to rethink.

I hope this is fair.

MS is a first cousin to MS. In MS only the myelin sheath is attacked. In SLE, all bodily parts, including the brain, internal organs, skin & blood can be attacked.

Stay safe & be well!

With good wishes,

Ros

It seems that you have been Restricted from a number of forums for inappropriate behaviour in relation to women.

I am particularly angry that you abuse people like milkwoman who genuinely care about people. To take advantage of vulnerable women is akin to be a sexual predator

Therefore, you are Restricted from this forum.

If I had the authority to ban you from HU, I would do so.
