Does anyone have any information on this new drug? I am right to be optimistic? I feel so excited to think there may be some hope. What does everyone else think? 😀

This is the drug BENLYSTA (Belimumab) which you can read about at our other website: lupus-support.org

You will need to register (free).

This drug, will finally be allowed under the NHS. However, this drug will only benefit a proportion of lupus patients and not everyone.

What IS important is that you are seeing a lupus specialist: not all rheumatologists are expert in lupus and many have never treated a lupus patient.

With good wishes,

Ros
