8 months and counting!

It is now nearly 8 months since my diagnosis with stage IV NSCLC, 12 months since they discovered the mass on CT scan even though initially they said it was pneumonia!

I have my second CT scan on the 14th of November after starting treatment (results on 30th at oncology meeting). I am still positive but have everything crossed. I figure if I feel and look well then there can't be much going wrong.

I feel so well at the moment and have even started going to the gym! I do have to remind myself though that I cannot yet do what I used to do at the gym and that I did have major surgery (even though they couln't remove anything) as I think I injured myself the first week! I was trying to run before I could walk. Now though I have settled down and am building up gradually.

Our extention is coming on although a bit slower than I hoped but it is getting there! It should be done by christmas -I hope!

Hi Lyn.

Glad to hear you're doing well. Like you said yourself, don't try to run before you can walk. I didn't have an operation, but it took me good while to get back to reasonable fitness. Mind you, I put it down to age. :) Good luck with your extention too. We did one a few years ago - well worth it in the end.

Best wishes, Bill
