On the same week I read of increased focusing on good cancer care, I get a letter from the hospital saying the oncologist has left and they have been unable to fill the vacancy even on a temporary basis, and other centres in Scotland are the same and sorry this will lead to delays in treatment, such a worry for everyone waiting for treatment, so sad.

Hi SunshineM
It is sad indeed and seems to be in quite a few areas around the country.
This link has quite detailed reading but you can find information on a new NHS Scotland initiative on reviewing and transform existing workforce policies: staffgovernance.scot.nhs.uk...
If anyone would like to chat to our support team, you can contact ask the nurse on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600, alternatively email us at lungcancehelp@roycastle.org
Kind regards
The Roy Caste Support Team
