my husband has his results tomorrow but we requested phone call, can bare to go into clatterbridge, they gave my tony58 till Xmas but he’s still here out in his shed gardening 💙he doesn’t want to know time he has left but I’m petrified of what they will say. I’m taking the phone call, I just pray 🙏 I’m strong infront of him , this heartbreak is killing us 💔

That is so very hard for you both, I assume they have done another biopsy or scan as you say you are getting the results tomorrow. Hopefully, there may be some treatment options for him or you could ask about any clinical trials he may be eligible for.

It is encouraging that your husband is well enough to do some gardening and timelines can vary greatly.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss anything, you can call our free phone ask the nurse on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600, alternatively, you can email ask the nurse at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org

I hope you have plenty of support for yourself, as this must be so stressful and distressing for you, do take good care of yourself.

Kind regards

praying for your husband. X

HI Paristomasmicheal,

It can be so hard waiting for that call, hopefully they will come up with some treatment options for him and you can now start on a new journey to hopefully treat and reduce the cancer.

I hope the call went well,

Best wishes

Kerrie

oh gosh that’s the worst at this stage - I’ve been 90 mins late before - I guess you never know what emergency has come up! Best of luck xx

so hard to be strong for others when we are crumbling inside.... hope you find the strength to cope with whatever is coming - it's good he's well enough to garden - keeping active is so important for body and soul.

We can often fear imminent death when we hear the term 'lung cancer' but so much has progressed in the years since my diagnosis and more treatments being approved all the time. Keep the faith. Hoping they come up with an acceptable treatment plan for him.

Sending you a virtual hug and good luck for whatever the future holds for you both....
