Our 'Ask the Nurse' service at Roy Castle are starting a live chat hour on Tuesday 11th August at 2pm.

This service is available to those with lung cancer, family members, carers and those worried about symptoms.

One of our nurses will be available on HealthUnlocked to chat, where you have the opportunity to share your experience and ask any questions at 2pm on the 11th August 2020.

We are here for you - throughout the pandemic and beyond - so keep the posts coming and we will do our best to help reduce any anxiety you might be feeling in these worrying times.

If you are unable to join us at that time but have a question please send us it in advance and we will respond on the post.

Questions should be limited to 3 lines.

We look forward to hearing from you all.

Dear HenryEtta

Sorry to hear you are still having pain when coughing. If this pain has got worse especially when coughing do let your doctor know.

It can take some time for the pain to ease, for some it can vary between 3-6 months, however if you are finding that your pain killers are not helping perhaps call your GP or lung specialist nurse to discuss.

With time the pain should ease and this is the link to our booklet on lung surgery: roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...

If there is anything you would like to discuss you can either email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our free phone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200

Kind regards
