I thought the following information about The Cinnamon Trust may be useful.

Alongside the obvious problems and traumas people face, we may not think of the issues involving pets. The Cinnamon Trust is

a charity providing assistance to people and their much loved companion animals. A network of volunteers help owners by providing

vital, loving care for their pets. As examples, they may walk a dog every day for a housebound owner, foster pets when

owners need hospital care, fetch the cat food or even clean out the bird cage etc.

When staying at home is no longer an option, their Pet Friendly Care Home Register lists care homes and retirement housing

happy to accept residents with pets.

The charity are always looking for short term fosterers across the whole of the UK who would be prepared to look after a pet

when their owner is in hospital. If you would like to become a fosterer, please register as a volunteer.

Being involved with the charity can also help towards the Duke of Edinburgh award as they are an Approved Activity

Provider (AAP) for volunteering. They have been approved for the DofE and meet their section conditions and

volunteering with the charity can count towards the achievement of a DofE award.
