Hi Robert

Im sorry to hear your lung shadows. You need to speak to a cancer specialist nurse if poss. I know Easter is in between. Let them know about the blood in your sputum. They may see you sooner and make yourself a nuisance. Your onc will know what's what after he's had his mdt meeting. But you should be able to speak to someone. I had lung cancer, an op. then a brain tumour. I'm doing really well touch wood but still do not count my chickens - although I should as it's Easter ha, ha.

Keep strong and stay positive!

Let us know how you get on.

Best wishes

Hoggy

Hi Robert,

Sorry to hear about your X-Ray's. As Hoggy says, make a nuisance of yourself. Push them for a CT scan. You could try emailing your oncologist if you know their name, and include their secretary in on the email. Just tell them how frightened you are and if they can help in getting your scan booked ASAP. Email addresses should be on your hospital website. I did this for my husband and got his scan 10

Days earlier than we were told. I'm glad your nurse called you, they are really helpful. Sometimes I've found they may not be able to call you back until later that day or the following day if you have to leave a message, but they always call back with the answer. Wishing you lots of luck. Keep us posted on here, this forum is brilliant.
