Hi I thank u for r plying and yes it is a small price to pay, but I'm also concerned that my hair on my head won't grow back from previous chemo, it started growing back then I started taking these tablets and now think it won't grow any more but then it has re-fallen out either my doctors say it will grow back but I don't believe them. Thanks
Ann
Hi there, I've been on Tarceva's sister drug Iressa for 2 years now. Initially my hair thinned all down the sides- giving me an attrative mohican style. After about 6 months it started to regrow - but totally differently i.e. a bit like an afro look or being rude( like pubic hair on my head). From all I have read about this, it appears the best thing you can do is avoid over-shampooing it and rub coconut oil, macademia, argan oil etc into your scalp. The hair follicle is damaged by the drug treatment so it may grow back strangely BUT it will grow back. Meanwhile talk to your oncologist about referral to the wig clinic to make you feel like your old self again. I did this for about 6 months and although hot to wear boosts your confidence no end. Meanwhile keep treating your hair you have along with your scalp with above suggestions. Good Luck. Diz x
