i would like to ask any one if they is a link beweet lung cancer and smoking are you at risk form it if some in your house smokes
Hi. The short answer is YES! Breathing in someone else's smoke can and does cause lung cancer. Countless people (including Roy Castle himself) have died from lung cancer, through other other people's smoke.

Hi Dewbery
Unfortunately passive smoking can and does cause lung cancer, my mum sadly passed away last September from lung cancer yet had never smoked a cigarette in her life. She had worked in a very tiny office where 3 out of 5 people smoked, also my dad smoked when we were very little so this was the probably cause of her cancer.

If you have lungs, you are at risk of lung cancer - smoking increases that risk. Smoking is NOT the only cause of lung cancer.
Hi Dewberry when I was diagnosed with lung cancer I naively asked the oncologist what caused my cancer. He laughed and said why that's obvious, smoking! My wife was with me, we had been together since she was 14 me 16. She told him I had never smoked in my life. He went on to tell us that cancer can be identified and mine was a smokers cancer, therefore, he continued mine was probably caused by inhaling someone else's cigarettes. Research as well proven that inhaling someone else's smoke can and does cause cancer. If you consider that a baby can become an heroin addict while still in its mothers womb, then that's enough proof for me. All the best.
How are you keeping Sue?
I hope things are going well with you. Is it tricky to stop people smoking around you? Does it affect you physically?
best wishes
