So true. The recent helicopter crash of Kobe Bryant highlights one of those. As cancer patients we get a chance to say goodbye to those we love. Often we are able to heal damaged relationships and make them right. That’s one of those gifts. Meeting people who would never have been part of our lives but for the cancer is another.

Cancer also gave me the balls to say goodbye to any relationship that doesn’t serve me. Cancer gave me the balls to move after 38 years from a city that no longer served me.
