On maintance infusion of Keytruda and Alimpta now, second treatment yesterday, has anyone had good sucess with this? The last treatments before maintance were Carbo, alimpta and Keytruda which I had very good results according to oncologist, he said I would need the maintance treatments and 3 month scans for the rest of my life, I'm praying and hopeing for great results with this new plan, haven't been on this site for awhile, hopefully you can see my profile. I would appreciate any comments from you. here is update from past treatments and profile. I'm stage 4 nsclc adeno firt time I had cancer was in 2015 which was stage 3 and got it to NED until this year in Feb. had a CT scan which showed more spots had come on my lungs and nodes, which put me in stage4 took 8 treatments (ever 3 weeks)and got me to maintance, which I hope is a good thing. would really like your comments on your experences with maintance. As a side note, I hope you can read this after a lot of backspace when my mind goes on the Blink, LOL, anyone experence this? Thanks for any and all comments, Sharon

Hi I just wanted to welcome you.I will give you a short version. I had stage3 in lympnodes I turned down radiation did 6 months of chemo and I am a 6 year survivor.I honestly think this maintenance will help you live longer. A lot of the the others with stage 4 are living longer the new treatments are great even though o don"t know much about alimta,or keytruda . I was stage 3 in lympnodes. I did six months chemo Taxetere, and carplatin last three months He took me off Taxetere and put me on abraxan which targeted the cancer . my oncologist and myself have been stuned it's been 6 year's and i am still cancer free oh yeah they done a lobectomy left upper. If keytruda and alimta are your maintenance a lot of stage4 are are living longer. Thats my wish for you. Hang in there don't give up. Have hope and faith don't give up keep fighting. I'm sorry I don't know much about alimta or keytruda. Every one here have been taking those. We are wonderful community. We all help each other. One of them might know about the keytruda and alimta
since I didn't. Welcome to your new community I'm sure someone on here should be able to answer you about maintenance. Please come back your always welcome. Love susiejo1948

I was diagnosed in April 2015 with Stage IV NSCLC Adenocarcinoma with cancer in both lungs, pleural effusion, etc. cancer spread to my brain causing craniotomy in may 2016. I receive maintenance chemo every three weeks, and cancer is currently stable. (More than 50 of these so far). Scans every 3 months or so as your plan indicates for you. It’s not easy but I feel very well two weeks of every three (and sometimes I go 4 or more weeks between treatments to accommodate travel or holidays or important events with my kids
Keytruda was not available at the time , but I had two years maintainence with Alimta (and neulasta) . Alimta obviously worked in my case. All Best Wishes, judg69
