Tygrisso

My Dad is stage 4 and doing Tygisso ( not sure how to spell it) he started feeling like it’s eating away at his bones. His next appointment is 2 weeks away, that’s the fastest we could get him in. Anyone had success with Tygrisso?? It’s been been 8 months of him weighing only 112 pds. We cannot get him to gain weight. Has anyone lost that much weight for that long and eventually started to gain it back? How long did it take for the weight gain to start? The doctors do not seem concerned about his weight. Thanks 🙏🏻

I am sorry to hear about your dad. This medication I am not familiar with but I did want to respond to your post. With my husband that has went through many types of chemo and still recently on last scan now showing 4 new areas I know how you feel. His recent chemo Navelbine has his bones hurting also. He has only had one treatment with this and already struggling. My heart breaks for him as well as for you and your dad. Just know if you need support we are here for you. Please keep us updated. Prayers sent up for him and you this morning.

Thanks so much and I will keep you and your husband in my prayers! I will call my Mom and get the correct spelling of this chemo medication ( I could be way off)

A friend of mine was on Tagrisso and developed arthritis. For the first few months her doctor said no connection but she has since told me the doctor now suspects there is a connection. He may need to change treatment plans. Call the doctors nurse and tell her what’s going on and ask what they want to do. Don’t wait for that appointment.

Thank you. The soonest we can go is the end of next week. Hopefully they can figure this out

Call the doctor before that if they suspect it’s the med causing that he could cause more damage to himself. V

He went today. They said everything is going well and he is continuing with it.
