Got some good news today

Feelingblessed2013 profile image

Had my CT scan last Thursday, saw my oncologist today. He doesn't see anything in the scan to worry about. He said it looks good.

That is great! I'm at 17 months since a LLL lobectomy with 19 cancer free lymph nodes taken. June ct scan was NED. Let's enjoy our good luck. We are presently so fortunate.

17 months, that's great. I made it to 3 years 6 months before a new cancer was discovered.

I agree, we are very fortunate.

Woohoo! Thanks for sharing your good news. Would you ever imagine being told something was unremarkable could make you so happy?

I know, weird isn't it?

He actually told me that my scan was abnormal, but it will never be normal because of everything I have been through. When he said that I thought to myself, I've never been normal, why should I start now.

Thank you lakesregion. I told my oncologist, if it comes back again, I'm keeping it its mine. :)

That is awesome. I went for a chest scan last week. It’s been clear for almost 5 years! They wanted to be sure it was ok before starting the chemo for my colon cancer. Proud for both us. God is good!

You've almost hit the 5 year mark, that is wonderful. But I am sorry about the colon cancer :(

I was 3 1/2 years cancer free before this last one.

Thank you RedSox. How are you doing?

Thank you, but my well being is not more important than yours. I wish you were doing great, but I am glad that you are doing okay.

Thank you

This is all it says: There is bilateral hyperinflation consistent with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. There are no other abnormalities of the pulmonary parenchyma.

The surgical report does say emphysema.

That is great news! Do you find it hard to wait for results?? I do, waited 2 weeks and I was really stressed . I made it almost 3 yrs everything has bee great until 2 days ago got results and the doc said 24 hr urine good but my blood level was not. So Back to Mri and Catscan !! Happy for you Katherine..Mary

I hate waiting, I am an impatient person by nature, but waiting for test results is the worst. The medical center where I have my tests done does post the results on line, but that can take up to 5 days. I was lucky with this last CT scan, I had the scan on a Thursday morning and saw my primary in the afternoon for wound care. He looked at the scan and told me that the radiologist hadn't read it yet, so his results are only preliminary, but he didn't see anything concerning. Hearing that made the week wait to see my oncologist a little easier.

I made it 3 1/2 years before a scan showed a 2 mm spot.

I hope the issue with your blood level is nothing serious. Please let me know how it goes.

What if u beat lung cancer then mri taken and showed cyst with 4 mm liaison with water is that cancer?????

Feelingblessed2013 profile image
Feelingblessed2013 in reply toLovey1000

Not necessarily, there are cysts that are just that. You would need a PET scan and a biopsy to determine if it is cancer.
