I was just diagnosed with a cancer growth in my right lung. They said that I have had it for about 2 years. I have been very tired. Work full time and crash when I get home. I am an optimist. Could I possibly have more energy after the cancer is removed?

Is it possible to have more energy after cancer is removed.
My experience is that you will have more energy after treatment but not as much as you did before the cancer. The cancer will have destroyed lung tissue so what remains has to work harder Walk as much as you can during treatment to maintain your strength and energy.
I sincerely hope this will be true for you. I have Sjogren’s Syndrome and Fibromyalgia so fatigue has always been a constant for me before and after my treatments. I would be most interested to know how it turns out for you.
Welcome kwalkerlion. As Denzie stated, there is a good chance you will have more energy after treatment, but not as much as before your cancer developed. We experience a "new normal". A lot depends on your age, your general health and the treatment provided. My best advice is to understand everything being said. Ask questions until you do understand. Take someone with you to your appointments as a second set of ears. We tend to hear only a portion of what is said especially when dealing with a diagnosis as scary as lung cancer.
I wish you well on this journey and it is a journey. Be kind and patient to yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I hope you choose to continue posting here. Someone will have been where you are in this journey and can offer support and suggestions.
