Whew 2 weeks since my wedge resection and I'm feeling OK.I am shocked at the way I feel, its like my skin is to tight and though my 10 inch incision is in the back today I hurt in the front.I am also pretty numb but all the whining aside it wasn't cancer and I'm grateful .
Made it through: Whew 2 weeks since my... - Lung Cancer Support
Made it through
Lung surgery requires that many nerves be cut. That is probably why you feel pain and tightness around the front of your chest. I still have numbness and occasional pain after two years. It takes a long time for those pain fibers to heal. It gradually subsides.
I'm so happy that it was not cancer and hope you have a quick and smooth recovery.

So glad to hear that you're over the worst of it. Take care of yourself.
You as well, his are u feeling?
Well, I started taking an iron supplement when I asked the doctor why I was so exhausted... I have iron deficiency and I think it's helping a bit. Except for the extreme fatigue, I actually feel great.. no pain, no numbness. I'm lucky I guess... hope you will be too. Hang it there!!
Miasgamgam, you look great. Congratulations! Please know I am not underestimating how uncomfortable you are, I am just happy for you. Take care, pamper yourself and please keep in touch.
Uncomfortable yes....but soon I'll be super
So happy for you that it wasn't cancer. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
