I also have stage 3B. I would very much be interested in hearing how you make out with everything.

God bless you throughout your treatments and may He give you new strength each day and a peace that passes understanding.

It's so rare that I read of someone being staged down! Congratulations.

What chemo agents will you be getting?

Etopocide cisplatin

This is the same doublet I had. Expect things to taste metallic, use plasticware or chopsticks to counter that. Also, if you develop tuning in your ears or a cold burning numbness in your hands or feet inform your dr as neuropathy damage may become permanent.

My hair only thinned, it didn't all fall out. It can go either way and no way to predict what will happen. My hair did come back darker brown (replaced some gray) and curlier.

Stay well hydrated. That will help flush the chemo through without damaging your kidneys. Add a sports type drink or Dripdrops daily to replace electrolytes washed away by the extra fluids.

Eat lots of small meals. Keep snacks handy to your bedside or chair as the steroids may cause some intense hunger pangs.

Speaking of steroids, take them exactly as directed to avoid nausea. If they cause trouble sleeping try to take the last one about 4 pm

Stock up on stool softeners and laxatives as well as anti diahrrea meds as you might need all three of them in the same day.

I've probably overlooked something and will add more when I think of it.
