My name is cn, I found out I had lung cancer last July. It started with a vision problem that ended up being a tumor in the brain and from that my life keeps changing from one day to the next. One day great news the next two steps back. I finished radiation to my head and 6 chemo treatments . Now we are waiting for where we go from here.

Hi cn, and welcome. it sounds a lot like my condition. My tumor detached my retina. I've gone through the radiation which helped the brain tumor and I've had 7 chemo treatments that haven't worked. I start a new round of chemo on Monday.

I have a blog that I try to keep up with: mycancerchronical.com if you would like to see what I've been through.

When first diagnosed I went through bits of despair because both my parents died within a few month of diagnosis. Despair alternated with resignation knowing the 10 -15 months my dr told me I had was more than 3x the life expectancy each of them had. That was 6 years 3 months ago

In the course of trying to understand what I was going through and what I needed to expect, I ran across a man who was an 11 year survivor of stage 4 adenocarcinoma. He'd had 2 rounds of brain mets gamma-knifed (the original diagnosis and then 2 yrs later a new batch) followed by Chemo and radiation on the lungs.

His very existence brought me hope. He's in his 17th year now and battling his 3D round after being cancer free at stage 4 for nearly 15 years. He is still semi active in Facebook groups, goes by stage4survivor.

It's my ferverent hope that the treatment you received gives you years life with great quality
