Dr appt yesterday,
Brain tumor is the same, left lung tumor grew a little, right lung tumor shrunk a little. Thinking we might not do imunetheophy but another round of chemo. Hmmm. The great news is NO treatment for six weeks!!! I get a break! 😊

Hi Paris, Looks like your first post. Welcome to the site.😁 You surely have a lot going on❗How long have you had cancer? Maybe you'll tell us more about yourself. Enjoy those six weeks...😁Look forward to seeing more of you. Take care, Ruby🌹
Hi Ruby,
Love your name!
Well..Oct 24th 2015, i went to the ER for the flu. 36 hours later I had a 5cm brain tumor removed with stage IV lung cancer. Tumors in both lungs.
I've been through brain radiation, then chemo for my lungs. New scans show no new gtroth in the brain, one tumor has grown a bit and the other shrank a bit in my lungs.
Now on a break!! Will do more chemo or imunetheophy next.
I try to encourage others from my experience??
It's a great site, helps to be a part.
Have a great day!
ParisFrazier - Your experience with how you found out you had cancer is something I can relate to. I had been seeing doctors all year because I was always dizzy, and on appointment 35 for the year, this was in October, I was told I had Kidney Cancer. I wanted to hug the doctor and buy him a present or something.
Finally! they found something. Now, how do we deal with it. Long story short, that was 8 years ago on October 14, 2008 when my first cancer was found.
Anyway, like you said about how you 'try to encourage others from your own experience',that is truly a gift all cancer patients should readily give to new cancer patients. This new normal takes a little getting used to, while you are also dealing with fear, sadness and depression and a hundred other new emotions you never thought you had. Just knowing there is someone "out there" that will listen, is sometimes all one needs to keep a positive outlook.
One of the better sides of the internet is being able to talk to someone, at any time of the day, and from almost anywhere in the world. Someone is always up, always online, always searching for information YOU have, based on your actual experience. So, stay positive, and let others know you are there for them, and the same goes for just trying to get someone to help you.
Just reach out and someone will be waiting.

Thanks for the reply, wow you have had one heck of a journey!
I find it helpful to talk with fellow warriors, others try very hard to understand, but they can't. You all understand more than I do yet!
So will they try and do surgery on your hip? I'm so sorry.
Enjoy your day!
Paris
Right now, they hip is a wait and see type of issue. I don't see the need to figure out how to add a recovery time from surgery to my already jammed chemo schedule, so we all just determined we will keep an eye on it. IF things happen, or need to be looked into deeper, we will cross that bridge when needed.
Hopefully the bone cancer will hold off and I will only have to deal with the lung cancer.
Mike
May God bless you on your journey. Enjoy every second of the 6 week reprieve.
@ParisFrazier Hi that six weeks off sounds good. Now you can relax a little and don't think about nothing but happy things. I'm here if you want to joke around and get the giggles. i'm here no matter what. Your Angel will be there even though you get six weeks off she will never leave your side. I really care Paris,i'll be here if you need me Jo
Thank you Jo!
I will definitely take you up on that if needed. I appreciate you all so much. Others try really hard, but they can't understand fully.
I'm struggling a little, emotionally. For some reason the one year thing is .. I don't know I get all weepy.
Hope your doing well, waiting to see the sunrise!!
Enjoy your day!

Great advise, I'll go get it today!
I totally believe you. When I left the hospital, I weighed 69lbs. I'm up to 81 and holding it.
I changed my life completely. I don't eat fast food, nothing out of a box. I even purchased a half cow, grass fed.. lol. I drink water. Love to gain more knowledge. I make a " warrior soup" gets me through chemo.
Thank you and congratulations , hope you have a great day!
Paris
You are all so great, I just sit in awe of each one of you. I can just see you as you read these entries: shaking your heads with understanding because you have been there. And I have to agree with Mike about the value of having someone to listen to you, to really hear you. That is a gift we can always offer one another, given from our hearts; that desire to hear the other person's story and to honor that story. Thank you all for sharing.
