I don't run but that's due to a joint problem not my leg lymphoedema...but i do cycle and walk a lot and do karate. I can't tell anyone else what to do but my philosophy is to wear stuff that almost highlights the problem. I've long since given up what it looks like (see my profile pic). I just wear normal cycling gear. I keep older stockings to use for sweaty exercise to avoid knackering newer ones. I have found that over 20 years my brain has re-calibrated and my leg feels the same as the other one (but is twice the size). So it makes no difference to walking or cycling or very short runs. it only makes a difference when kicking in karate...that's far enough out of the ordinary for my brain to have not mapped it yet. I wish you luck

Hi fozdrummer,

What sort of compression do you wear when you're doing karate?

Hey I looked at your pic, my legs are the same as yours - I have never seen anyone with the same problem as me! Interesting point about your brain re-calibrating I think maybe mine has done that too (apart from behind the knee where the swelling prevents me from bending my knee fully). I get made to measure cycle style shorts in the same fabric as the stockings which help a lot.
