my right arm is very swollen , have had arm ultrasound , then mammogram and breast

Ultrasound, going for CT scan.

Why after 23 years with lymphoedema after breast cancer operation my right arm is so

Swollen.

Anyone had problems like that.

Have you had a recent infection? I recommend you see your GP asap to rule out cellulitis, and ask for a referral to the Breast Cancer Unit for assessment. You say you have had lymphoedema for 23 years - is this the same arm?

no recent infection. No cellulitis, seen Lymphoedema clinic , same right arm that I have

Lymphoedema in for 23 years, but never been so swollen before, happened last few months.

Been to breast clinic that ‘s where I had ,

Mammogram and ultrasound, had another ultrasound on arm, this one was on breast alone.

Nothing seen. The consultant said now to have CT scan on Saturday.

Hi Patann,

This happened to me too (I hadn't had lymphoedema quite so long, but still a few years). My oncologist sent me off for an ultrasound of my arm but there had been no further spread of the cancer - so I'm hoping that this will be of reassurance to you and that your CT scan is also clear. (I don't have any suggestions about the cause of the swelling, though, so not much help there...)

Much better scans are available for LED issues:

Lymphoscintigraphy and MR Lymphangiography.

where do I have these in East Sussex, still no word of my CT scan it has been two weeks.
