From her hesitant answer, it is just so evident how poor the training is in med school on lymphedema.. do you know it is now 40% (and growing of) cancer survivors end up with lymphedema?? How many will it take to have the medical community take this condition seriously...

I've also been wondering what it might take for lymphoedema to get the recognition it deserves from the health services.

I'm interested to know the stats for the numbers of people who develop lymphoedema following cancer treatment. Do you have a reference for the figure of 40%?
