Help to sleep in bed
What have you tried already, so that we don’t go over old ground?
Are you receiving any treatment currently?
Do you take any meds or supplements (you can list them if you like)?
Where are you based?
I lie on shaped neck pillow, with bottom of bed raised and leg/foot pillow under my feet.
Oh boy I’m so sorry - you must be in a lot of discomfort. I think I’d be either crabby or depressed most of the time, especially in the summer! I haven’t had much experience with hip pain, but the combination of lymphodema in both legs and low back pain would make me try to sleep on my back with large cushions under my knees. That’s good for low back pain and also elevates your legs. ( well, you probably know all that already). I like to sleep on my side, legs bent, and a cushion between them, so my lympho leg is on top of the cushion and it’s still good for my back, plus comfortable. Good luck!
Hi I also have problems with my spine eg a fracture that won't heal and I broke my pelvis last year. I have also had osteoarthritis in both knees due due to a motorbike accident 35 years ago. I now also have osteoarthritis in my wrist and lower back. I have lipoedema with secondary lymphoedema in both legs and possibly in my left arm
I can't sleep with my head etc on one or two pillows because of this.
I have my bed raised on mahogany square blocks which are about 4 inches high at the bottom of the bed and I have just bought a pillow which I will leave the link for which raises my legs even higher
aids4mobility.co.uk/luxury-... but shop around for this as the prices can be very different.
I hope that this helps
