I have lymphedema in my right leg and have trouble buy... - LSN
I have lymphedema in my right leg and have trouble buying jeans and slacks. Does anyone know of a website that sells pants with wide legs?
Thank you. Actually, my right leg is 6 pounds heavier than my left. I can fit into size 8 petite jeans if the legs are straight legs 9boot cut). However, many jeans today are skinny jeans which hug the shape of your legs; not good for me.
Hi bikerchic - something worth considering may be finding a dressmaker or a tailor - a few clients I have known over the years have done just this. A tailor was able to kit out a couple of my gentlemen - he made bespoke jeans for the younger chap (who was 38). The same tailor also made one of my ladies a beautiful 'power suit' to wear to meetings.
It can be expensive - but once a professional has devised a template pattern specific to your measurements, it may be the better option for you rather than spending mega bucks on items off the shelf that don't fit. Alternatively, you could take garments that DO work on your affected leg, and get the dressmaker/tailor to alter the garment to fit the rest of you.
Try linens seem to be wider.
I have the same issue, buy wide leg pants / jeans. Also linen pants are good in the summer.
hi not being funny but these answers are to help women what about us men i can only wear jogging bottoms its ok during the day but to go somewhere nice is a no go alot of pubs on the weekend have strict dress code such as no jogging bottoms so i have to miss out with friends
Hi Shirty67 - please read my post above - I mention male clients.
Hi bikerchic i also have lymphoedema in right leg and i get most of my wide leg trousers from marrisotta catalogue or m and s hope this helps
Thank you all for your responses! How do I get the Marrisota catalogue? What is M&S? A dressmaker sounds like an option, but my leg is small enough that a wider leg pant would work. I have linens for summer. I live in Florida, so finding those is not a problem. Problem is jeans and dress slacks.
Asda usualy do wide leg linens
hi lynora im on benefits so i cannot affoard tailor made trousers i love too also i have to add straps on my shoes which add an extra £7.00 on top of the price of the shoes so it starts getting an expensive game this is the price we have to pay to help us look normal in life
I have the same problem
One Wrap velcro comes in several widths and colours and works great to extend velcro sandal and shoe straps . You just cut it to the length you need . I just bought a metre for £2.63 from eBay .

I have exactly the same problem - LD in my right leg and cannot get any trousers at all to fit, even the wider leg ones, the rest of me is a size 10-12. I was so fed up with this I decided to go to classes and learn to sew. I invested in a sewing machine and now make my own trousers. This means I can get a perfect fitting trouser in any fabric I like. I do however have to choose my patterns carefully and adjust them to widen the right leg. If anyone would like specific pattern/style numbers I can let them have them.
Hello. If read this - do you have any wide leg patterns to share by e-mail? I have lympho in both legs, live in eastern Europe and it's hard to find elegant wide legged pants for autumn and winter. 7/8 length skinny eans/trousers everywhere in the shops. Now in summer I wear maxi dresses but i'm dreading autumns.
Best regards
If you know anyone who is good at dressmaking, Simplicity sewing patterns have some nice wide leg palazzo pants patterns at present. Elastic waistband, no zip and side pockets if you want them. I saw a pattern online the other day and I think it was about $10. I'm tempted to get the pattern myself and sew some for summer
i am in australia and buy jeans from citychic. they sell online and i think they ship overseas. i buy the column shape jeans, very straight leg all the way down. i have both legs affected but my left leg is bigger, they cling abit to my calf but have stretch so its not restrictive. my biggest problem is wanting summer pants as anything linene or cotton over here is too narow - even the palazzo style.
I've just found a pattern online by Butterick for some palazzo pants (another one to add to my shopping list). There's 2 designs on one pattern and the wider ones range from 26" to 32" round the leg depending on your waist size. Looks quite easy to adapt and add extra width on the legs if required.
