Strangely we discussed this topic at the Bristol Lymp. group the other night. I believe that I cannot have this treatment because I have hyperthyroidism. I have just googled BAPRAS and this is their address and telephone number, you may wish to write to them asking?

From my limited knowledge of what appears to be fledgling procedure, it is most effective if you respond to compression treatments. What I mean by this is that if your limb reduces with the therapies offered by your normal lymphoedema specialist.

Hi! Having just joined this blog, I'm excited to read your query about super-microsurgery. I tried really hard with the support of my GP for a couple of years, but could not get funding. I had been OK'd by the Oxford L. Clinic just by letter, wanting to know if I'd be eligible, as I am diabetic, and now 77

. My GP and I filled in various forms, but all came to nought. I'd be very interested to see how you got on after you sent this post.

sincerely, Jude4
